Hope you all had a fantastic half term.
Congratulations to everyone who represented us so well at all of the online festivals. We are very proud of you all for working so hard during these strange times. We look forward to welcoming everyone back to classes this week.
Our Ballet Barres have arrived and will be in classes from Saturday for the students to use.
Just a reminder that we would like to see everyone in the correct uniform and hair in buns for ballet classes, please.
Please see below for information regarding this term.
We would love students to bring a friend along to a class. Anybody who brings a friend will be entered into a prize draw and at the end of term, the lucky winner can choose either a TPA Hoodie or a TPA Dance Bag.
As an additional incentive, if the friend enrols in classes, both they and you will receive a 10% discount on the following terms fees.
Please ensure any outstanding fees from the last term are settled asap – I regret to say that due to late payments of some fees I have decided to place a £5.00 surcharge on every late payment.
Invoices for Summer Term 2 have been sent out via email and also available to view in your customer portal. Hopefully, this will be accurate but do get in touch if you have any queries.
Payment can be made via the link in the email or via the pay button in the customer portal. You can still pay via bacs quoting the invoice number if you prefer. If it is your preference you may also pay cash or cheque.
We have refunded this invoice for the cancelled Zoom classes in Spring term 2. This should be correct but for any queries just ask.
Please ensure that fees are paid on time, within 14 days of the invoice date.
See below for the account details for BACS payments.

All of your details are held in the THINKSMART SYSTEM SECURITY. No one apart from Caz and Caroline have access to the data. It is never shared by us with any outside party. If you wish us NOT to hold contact details for you, please can you contact us by email to email@example.com and ask to opt-out. Thank you for your continued support with this.
Please note that all students need to be in the correct uniform. Once they have completed a trial and decided they would like to stay please ensure they are wearing the correct things. Please ask if you need any guidance with this.
We have made a number of changes recently to the uniform. This is because we no longer need to follow the uniform regulations of ISTD and therefore wanted to introduce something new. Students are very welcome to continue to wear the existing uniform until they outgrow it. If your daughter does both ballet and modern they are welcome to wear their ballet leotard for modern classes if you would prefer to keep costs to a minimum. Please see the attached order form and also the website for more information. https://www.tonbridgeperformingarts.com/uniform
We also have linked with IDS and now have an online shop with them, making it even easier for you to purchase a uniform. http://ton.mydancestore.co.uk/
It is lovely to see so many students proudly wearing TPA hoodies and sweatshirts from Rock the Dragon. As requested we have now expanded the range available and as well as personalised TPA hoodies, sweatshirts and T-Shirts there are now many more items available. Leggings, vest t-shirts, sports bra tops for older students, bags etc are all available to order direct from them. These items are all acceptable alternatives in jazz/modern/tap classes. http://rockthedragon.co.uk/product-category/tonbridge-performing-arts/
We have a few special mentions to make:
We are so very proud of Sasha who was awarded a place to study at Urdang Academy.
Excited for and so proud of Holly who has won places to study at both
The Royal Ballet School Junior Associate Programme and also at The Wells Academy.
Huge congratulations to Izzy who attained Distinction for her Grade 5 Tap examination.
Good luck to Rosie who is working really hard rehearsing for the
Tonbridge School production of Into the Woods. Break a leg!
A number of our students competed over the last few months at some of the online festivals. We are so proud of each and every one of you. Your hard work and commitment really paid off with some fantastic results, medals won and fabulous scores and comments. Most importantly you all had a great time.
Special mention to those winning medals;
1st 88 in Ballet and Character
2nd Lyrical Modern
1st Song and Dance
1st Song & Dance
1st Modern (with lyrical)
1st Modern (with lyrical)
We want to say an enormous thank you to all of the teachers who prepare them so well and with particular thanks to Claire and Zoe for the extra hard work with festival entries, rehearsals and fabulous choreography.
We have a large number of students working on solos, duets, trios and quartets as well as troupe dances. It’s really exciting to see so many of our students taking part and wonderful to see the confidence growth in students who are competing. Claire will be offering festival privates on Tuesdays before 6pm as well as a group festival class where you can come along and practice. Zoe also has private slots available on Thursdays.
As with all normal dance classes, we find that students learn best when they are in a normal class environment and so we have decided to ask that parents are not present during festival rehearsals too. The teachers may invite you to come in at the end of the class so that you can film if necessary. Thank you for your help with this.
If anyone is interested in finding out more about taking part in festivals please speak to Caz or Caroline.
We are very pleased and excited to announce that TPA will now have its own casting agency – TPA Casting. We hope this will give our students the opportunity to be forwarded for castings and auditions for Tv and stage performing work. This can be a wonderful and exciting experience as well as a great insight into the industry for all ages.
We are offering all our students the chance to be registered on our books and be part of the Spotlight casting website which is the most used source for casting agents in the business. More information can be found at https://www.spotlight.com/
Although this is an exciting development for TPA, we must point out that there is no guarantee that children will ‘work’. You can, however, expect TPA casting to be committed to giving all our clients the best chance to be seen that we can. It will be parents responsibility to escort their children to all castings. Please consider this commitment when deciding to sign your child with us.
There are no ’agency fees’ but there is a £98 fee per annum charged by spotlight. You will also need a set of professional photos taken. We have arranged to have this done at a low cost of between £50- £60 depending on the number of students.
If this is something that is of interest to you, please email to firstname.lastname@example.org to express your interest.
We look forward to working for you
